Kate Genevieve One often wonders "why is Nick Gill so effortlessly good at all this?" It must be the decades of improvisation and craft.

This music gives space to worlds in worlds, to dreams and unutterable feelings. Giving life to moments of peace, listening and solace in times that lack just these qualities. So glad for these poetic fragments.

about

Having moved from London to Yorkshire, Nick Gill (guitarist and composer in 8-piece instrumental group The Monroe Transfer) found himself a long way from his usual collaborators and with little time, but with an array of instruments, pedals & synths and no less desire to make some music.

Beginning in September 2016, carving out a couple of hours every week (normally while his 2 year old daughter had a nap), he recorded an improvised (or sometimes just hurriedly-written) piece of music, and released it as his weekly MUSIC PRODUCT podcast. Taking a break over the summer of 2017 and gearing up to start series 2, he’s tweaked the mixes and mastered the recordings to form one, lengthy album.

Year two of the Music Product podcast will begin sometime in 2018, available on iTunes, Stitcher and wherever you get your podcasts.
