  • The score itself has been digitally printed on Mohawk paper; the cover is printed letterpress at Nick's private press in North Yorkshire (Effra Press & Typefoundry). It's set in 16pt Village type, printed in two colours on 70 year old Barcham Green 210gsm mouldmade paper, and bound by hand.

    The score measures 210 x 297mm; each copy is signed and numbered by Nick, the composer & printer, in a limited edition of only 72 copies.

    All proceeds will be donated to Medecins sans Frontieres, and the price of the score has been suggested as a reasonable contribution to their outstanding work. If you can afford to give more, please do.

    Copies are currently being bound, and should be ready to be shipped in the week of 17th August 2020.

I used the instrument I developed with sonicLAB, Fundamental, to create the bones of the interpretation. Contrasting the vintage sines with raw russian Polivoks synth parts, run through nuclear analysis filters, I tried create a foreground/background in instrumentation. I kept close to the score and swayed only in one part - I added a breath of silence before the last movement. I felt it added tension to the piece as a whole in my interpretation.

Based out of Berlin, Germany, electronic music composer and performer Hainbach creates shifting audio landscapes THE WIRE called "One hell of a trip". His music has been released on Opal Tapes, Seil Records, Spring Break Tapes, misc. and Marionette. He has been fascinated with sine tones, noise and FM since he discovered the dial on the radio. Never losing his childhood wonder, he still searches for the sounds in between on modular synths, nuclear research tools and magnetic tape.
